The Sleeping Seeds is a playful musical theatre show for families where a pair of musical gardeners, played by Fox and Rocha, introduce audiences to a very special seed asleep in their seed bed. I created a visual identity for the show which included a fun, hand drawn logo and vibrant colour palette inspired by the varying tones of tomato plants, along with a library of graphic shapes.
The quirky shapes are inspired by what we see when we deconstruct a tomato or hone in on shapes we see within our gardens, and the result is a rich visual language which allows for variety across promotional layouts and communicates the themes of the show.
I developed a suite of promotional material including flyers, posters, banners, social media templates and educational activity packs, with some elements built into Canva to allow full flexibility for the team to promote their range of shows.
Lindsay was really brilliant to work with, she listened to our brief and was really flexible in adapting and adding elements as the concept developed. The final design concept went above and beyond our expectations and we’ve been getting loads of positive feedback from people about our marketing material. It’s vibrant, fun and really fits with the whole concept and feel for the show and there’s some lovely details. She designed a whole range of assets for us, from posters and flyers to pop-up banners and social media graphics. Lindsay has also created some great activity sheets for kids attending the shows too. I would definitely recommend Sister Minor for any graphic design work you need support with.
