I designed Lions of Dissent’s first foray into vinyl with their debut single Honey from Hell. As the ultimate format to release music on, I relished the chance to create an eye-catching cover which communicated the thunderous and driving nature of the song.
Through scanning and manipulating cut-out stars, I was able to create a beautifully warped and blurred effect. Combined with triangular shapes, coded elements which glitch and morph and a mysterious eye emerging out of the stars, the design evokes the bizarre world of the illuminati and creates a mystifying and cryptic effect. You can buy the single here.
“A full-on multi-dimensional sonic experience, new single ‘Honey From Hell’ has a visceral edge, the effects used to create something beautifully brutal” – CLASH MAGAZINE
